Community Tree Planting Day at Bury Hill Meadows
Upper Clatford
Andover Trees United are inviting community groups and community members to join the Andover Trees United’s Community Tree Planting Day at Bury Hill Meadows Nature Reserve on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm in partnership with Test Valley Borough Council.
This year marks the fourth and final year of the Andover Trees United tree planting at Bury Hill Meadows, a project aimed at helping to transform the former farmland into a young woodland. Thousands of local schoolchildren and community members have already taken part in our annual Schools’ Tree Planting Season throughout November over previous years, helping to create a living legacy that will benefit the community for decades to come.
Andover Trees United are encouraging people of all ages to come along to the Community Planting Day, roll up your sleeves, and take part! Participants will plant native trees such as oak, birch, hawthorn, and field maple, all tools and materials will be provided, and complimentary hot drinks and biscuits will be available.
Groups can also get involved with this year’s Schools’ Tree Planting sessions, running weekdays from 10th–28th November, either in the morning, afternoon, or full-day slots. This is a fantastic chance to support hands-on learning for local children while contributing to Andover’s growing green legacy.
No booking is required for the Community Planting Day, though we’d appreciate people letting us know they’re coming. Please see the attached poster.
