Parish Council Budget 2025-6

Upper Clatford Parish Council  - Budget and Precept 25/26

The agreed budget for Upper Clatford Parish Council as agreed by the councillors forms the basis of the precept requirement submitted to Test Valley Borough Council and which residents of this parish council fund directly through their Council Tax. The budget is attached below and shows the precept requirement (funding from TVBC) of c £42,000.

In summary  - the total budget requirement for this financial year (25/26) amounts to c £75,000 of which this council has chosen to only seek a precept requirement of c £42,000 . The precept represents a 5% increase on last year's request and  leaves around £33,000 of funding requirements to be met from our existing funds which have been built up by this council.

The plans for the Chalk Pit redevelopment are moving forward with the demolishing of the old building at the site and designs agreed for the future development. The demolition cost is included in the budget with  £28,000 budgeted for the cost of this and other aspects of managing the site like business rates and standing charges.  The cost for the redevelopment project will not be met from council funds which includes the precept, the intention is to fund this entirely from separate sources. Cllr Charles Crosthwaite Eyre is leading the work to secure funding cllrceyre@upperclatford-pc.gov.uk.
